How RADAR works

One score. Ranked against your industry.

Five pillars, each a percentile within your own industry and country cohort, combined into a score out of 100. Here's exactly what goes in, and what it means.

R

Reputation

25% OF SCORE · GOOGLE REVIEWS

Rating quality and review depth. A 4.9★ average over 226 reviews carries more weight than a 5.0★ over six — depth is trust the field can't fake.

A

Authority

15% OF SCORE · BACKLINKS & REFERRING DOMAINS

How much of the web vouches for you. Links from other sites are the reference checks search engines actually read.

D

Digital experience

25% OF SCORE · LIVE-SITE REVIEW

Clarity, trust and conversion signals on your live site — can a visitor tell what you do, believe you, and act, before they leave.

A

Activity

15% OF SCORE · 12-MONTH SEARCH TRENDS

The direction of your search visibility over the past year — growing, flat, or fading. Momentum the snapshot metrics miss.

R

Reach

20% OF SCORE · ORGANIC TRAFFIC & KEYWORDS

How many people actually find you — estimated organic traffic and the number of keywords you rank for.

A common shape: reputation well above the median, reach and authority below it. The score tells you which corner to pull up first.

Cohort-relative, by design

A percentile, not a grade.

Every pillar is scored as a percentile within your industry and country cohort — how you compare to the field you actually compete in. A 62 in Legal NZ means you outperform most NZ law firms, not that you passed some universal test.

Because the field is the yardstick, your score shifts as the cohort grows and improves. That's by design — standing still is falling behind, and the register shows it.

The tiers

Four tiers. One worth chasing.

Your composite score places you in a tier. Accomplished — 75 and above — is the reserved top tier, and the badge that goes with it.

WHERE THE NUMBERS COME FROM

Register figures are aggregated and anonymised. Third-party search estimates are approximations — good for ranking a field, not for reading a single business to the decimal. We never disclose an individual competitor's data.
